Hey everyone it's about time that we updated our blog just a little bit don't you think? Well there's no gaurantees that we have everything on here that we have done especially since we don't have Brittany taking pics for us, :( but we do have a few things that we can put up here for your entertainment. ..


To start off with here are some pictures that we took while we were at the Thanksgiving Point Gardens. I honestly can't remember when we went there but I am pretty sure it was a saturday sometime in september (at least I think it was. I'd have to check my journal for exact details since it's not in my planner, but alas that was left at home.) No matter you can enjoy the beautiful flowers all the same! It may even make you wish that spring was back instead of winter starting.

Looking at these pictures reminds me of my sister Amy. Since she wants to be famous photographer of plant life (still life) this just looks like a good place she might want to come and visit sometime no?

I must admit that I get fascinated by old looking things and while this bridge is new it has that rustic antique look to it. oooo soo cool!

Chris likes to complain that I never take pictures of him. Well here is some proof that he's wrong. I take pictures of him when they're good ones! Just look at that thoughtful pose.. perhaps he's comtemplating how to convert c++ into java or something... don't ask me!

These are koi fish! They just swarm when there might be food nearby. I think it is a little gross especially when some get slightly shoved out of the water by the bigger fish underneath them.

Okay so this is one of those pictures that almost had a good story to it. While we were walking we totally saw the largest frog that you have ever seen! It was rather good sized frog surrounded by a bunch of tadpoles. Too bad he/she slipped into the water before the picture was taken!! What a tragic tale! I really wanted to get a picture of that frog. I kept looking at all the other lily pads there to see if I could find another one, but nope.

This was a fascinating spot with four large pillars that just rose into the air. If it wasn't so sunny it would have been a really amazing picnic spot!

There was this really cute girl that was playing underneath the dome that I snapped a few pictures of. Hope her parents don't mind, but she was just so cute! Don't worry I never took one of her face so you can't really tell who she is.

Part of the Thanksgiving Point Gardens has this tunnel that Chris was so nice to show off to us. Under the tunnel is a secret entrance to the "secret garden." (see below).

Here's the entrance to the garden. You can kind of see it behind me but I'm not putting up pictures of what was in there! After all that's a secret you'll just have to go see the gardens yourself sometime if you really want to find out! (ps. it's pretty nice in there.)

so this picture was taken a long time before watching that Dr. Who episode, but all the same it's an angel that's watching you from above and if you don't look up, you don't really notice it...... dun dun dun!!!!

Near the end of our tour, we came to a bunch of cascading waterfalls. Wow we got some good pics of them! They're soo deep! I think they're the longest human made waterfalls around but I don't really remember anymore. We'll just say that I'm correct and leave it at that.

We never were able to get a picture of the front of the large waterfall and here's why.. A bunch of girls decided they wanted to hog the view! Actually I found this picture slightly humourous since if you look at their poses it reminds me of my wedding photographer telling everyone how they should stand...

Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!! my sideways picture appears!!! Of course I planned for this to happen silly. What good is a blog post without one sideways picture? I just like the leaves on the tree don't you?

Can someone say wow? That is such a long field and I was not standing at the end of it either! This would be a good place to play some crochet dodge ball!

Alas another scenic view. Makes me want to use it as a background picture on my computer.

We're skipping comments about this one. Don't ask me why.

Oh and here is proof that I was at the Gardens with Chris. He wasn't by himself with a floating camera that capture spontaneous moments of him.

So about this....... I took it! I was actually trying to play around with my close up zoom thing on my camera but I wasn't as successful as I hoped to be.

I'll let you guess who was laying down in the middle of flowers when bees were humming all around really close... yikes!

I think we should use this as our Christmas tree honey! It's so cute and cuddly!

This is Chris looking scared since we're coming to the end of this post! Oh nooo!

Well perhaps the end isn't so bad after all. Now you can all sit back relax and enjoy the next part of the show!

The how's of moving

Okay so I know that you all have been anxiously awaiting for this blog to be updated and guess what? Now it will be! Stay tuned for next month's episode on the amazing blog of Chris and amanda..........

Okay okay so I'll put some stuffness up for you all.

Let us commence our exciting adventure with packing up from Heather Cove. This picture probably looks familiar to all those who have ever moved before. You get boxes all over the place!

So this is a picture of only part of the front room stuffed with boxes. It was nice that we had so many boxes in which to throw all of our random collections of wedding gifts and such stuff. Alas most of the boxes have been thrown in a dumpster now but they served faithfully.. except for that one box that broke out all over the ground trying to get it from the third floor down to the car. I Guess that you shouldn't mix kitchen supplies with a twenty pound bag of potatoes in one cardboard box and expect it to last.

This charming picture is of the men's apartment that we moved into. Men's you say? Yup. We had a temporary move from womens housing to mens. FYI women's housing is way better. The problem with moving into our new apartment was that it was (and is) still under construction. We couldn't move in since they had not finished the countertops or putting the sink back in for us. So we were stuck at the Pioneer house for four days. Chris and I both didn't enjoy living out of boxes and are glad that at least we have our things unpacked now.

Talk about great mens bathroom! Huge tub but dinky corner space for the toilet. The hot water turned on by turning right instead of left, but at least you got hot water unlike at the kitchen sink.

Okay, so I must admit that this is one of my favorite parts of the Pioneer house. If you can't tell this is a closet with a door. And how would that be functional? We totally should turn it into a slide for Reed and Chelsea!

This was also taken at the Pioneer house. The sink in the bedroom is compliments of perhaps an elderly person? I haven't quite gotten it figured out, but hey now you can shave in the bedroom and not wait for the bathroom to open up!

Here is the exterior of the mens apartment. We had people living below us in the basement that let us know they were there by pounding on our ceiling when we pushed a chair in above them. We stopped pushing them in after that.

Typical of having nothing to do when you're living out of boxes, Chris programed and played on his computer while I wandered around taking pictures or tried to find other things to entertain myself with. Special thanks to Brandon (Chris' old roommate) and Kerri for feeding us at night and giving us fun things to do with them.

Here is the extreamly long front room of the Pioneer house that we had a long camp out in.

Yeah! Time for funner pictures! On Wednesday we moved into our new apartment that still has a few things that needs to get fixed. (We've been told that they working on getting what we need.) Don't you just love our blinds? It's Charlie Brown christmas wrapping paper. Hey at least we get stained glass! Our next amazing feature can be seen in the bedroom. I think not having a window is self explanatory.

We put our left over gift cards to good use in the bathroom.

The sofa cames from the DI (wonderful place). It was fun watching Chris, my uncle, and our next door neighbors find a way to get it through the door with the limited turning space that we had. But where's there's a will, there's a way.

Here is our fifty dollar table and chair set that we were told is worth four hundred. I think it was a great steal.

This may be Chris' favorite picture. We found a cheap tv stand that was just perfect. However the warning lable on it said that it could only hold a flat screen. As you can see instead of finding a different stand we got a flat screen tv! You all should have seen Chris' face when he asked if we could get one. It was cute and priceless.

This is our tower fan that we used the remains of our wedding gift cards on. You may need to drum roll on the computer desk in front of you before you hear about it's amazing features. It comes with a remote control, timer, and breeze feature!

That pretty much wrappes up this blog post. We've been excited to have Michelle stay with us for a few days and are looking forward to hosting The Parents next. Okay I am hungry so I am going to go. Don't know when the next blog update will come around since we currently have no internet or cable at our new apartment either....

Chris got all tired from walking around the Japanese Stroll Garden and decided to take a nap. He says he wants this kind of mattress once we lose the one we have now.

Chris had been wishing for a duck crochetted out of plastic grocery bags since Christmas and finally got it. Isn't it so cute?

The most adventurous thing that we did in Missouri was ride this covered inner tube. We flipped off of it several times but it was a blast!

Okay so Amanda is making a funny face in this picture, but here is Amanda and Amy in the front and Allen and Chris in the back. Good thing we had those life perservers or Chris may not have been brave enough to stand up and be in the picture.

Back at the resort, Chris and Amanda took a romantic stroll around the grounds where there were bridges, turtles, and dragonflies.

After running as fast as we could, we arrived at a breakfast that Amanda's Aunt Sandy provided tickets for on the fourth of July. Chris thought he'd be cute and help and Amanda cool off some. We had pancakes, orange juice, ham and bananas.

Later on the fourth of July, we headed off to a Morse family reunion at one of the many Timpanogos parks near Sundance. Amanda couldn't help taking a picture of this old couple riding on a dangerous vehicle on University Ave. Since her mom has always told her that she wanted to ride a motorcycle this picture is dedicated to her.

Here are some lovely ladies at the Morse family reunion at the caterpillar campsite. Michelle got dead caterpillar juice on her shorts and everyone else was occupied with taking caterpillars off each others' backs.
