"You've all seen this picture before", said the Jedi with his hand waving.
November 9th Chris and I went to a college football game! It was my first college football game I ever attended since I never made it to one while I was in college. It was BYU vs. Wisconsin. Bucky Badger won.
Chris was a little concerned to wear both team colors. One person stopped him and chatted about attending the game, he was a BYU fan, and some other person said, "Welcome to Madison," as if we didn't live here. But no one jumped him or stole his hat, so we were good.
We had high seats, but a good location since we could see both sides of the field. And to make things better, I was sandwiched on the bench between Chris, who was half off his designated number on my left, and these two larger guys who took up lots of space on my right. It was a little tight, but it kept me warm.
When I first picked out this photo all I could say was, "What! We had no snow in November?" Crazy. We have tons of it now. It snows every other day or more. Michelle and Allen are really missing out on all the snow shoveling! Here the twins are taking a walk with their babies.
The kids had a funny face photo shoot. Here is Kate.
And Kairi really puts on the funny faces. It was hard to choose just one.
Wesley kept sticking things on his head and laughing.
We went to visit a Lego store and stopped by the ride on cars there. Chris decided to actually turn on a ride for once, and this kid kept hopping onto Wesley's ride and free loading. The more the merrier?
I had to put this one up of Kate. Here is how she dresses for our 2 degree weather. Crazy kid! She insists on shorts, I tried hiding them from her but it didn't work out, and if she hears the errands are done and we're headed back home, her socks and shoes come off.
At the end of November we put up the Christmas tree and decorated it. Now it's all come down and that corner of the front room looks bare!
We added some strands of Christmas lights this year on the top of the house in addition to the stars we had hanging over the garage.
Grandma, Grandpa and Randy Heit all came to visit for Thanksgiving. I failed to take more pictures than these.... humph. Anyone get a picture of our actual Thanksgiving party at Allen and Michelle's house?
I was a little scared that we might not even get to enjoy the festivities this year since Wesley was throwing up the day before, but he kicked the sickness and it left him alone just in time. Phew, close one!
The kids were getting ready for bed hence the pajama party for them.
Grandpa created these lovely snow angels for all of us to see. I think he did pretty good.
We went and saw some reindeer. It was snowy and cold, but the kids mustered smiles.
Here we are shoveling after the first big snow fall.
And the window in the garage keeps creating ice sculptures. It's so cold! But these are pretty.
We went to our annual 'ride the free trolley downtown' event. We're even doing better getting Kate to accept wearing pants not shorts when we are outside.
Our gingerbread houses this year! I can't say we actually ate all of them up.
Wesley and Uncle Allen were playing with Lego and the Lego crown and bow tie were created.
For Christmas eve we needed to run down the kids energy so we went to Legacy Academy; aka the climbing place. They have games and arcade games and climbing things. Kairi protested leaving. Loudly. You can kind of see her if you look through the bubble of plastic. She's in the back.
Here we did shuffleboard and ping pong. Wesley even hit the ball a few times.
Wesley swung from the rope. Most of the time they climbed in the large playhouse slide spot that I didn't post. A few of you have seen it already.
Christmas!! Two presents in Wesley was saying it was the best Christmas ever! He loved all his gifts this year. He kept laughing and saying "So cool!" The girls were excited as well, just not as enthusiastically as Wesley was this year.
We had to play with all the gifts as soon as they got opened. Here is some playdough set.
Wesley got a reversible dog/dog house toy that Kate has taken over. I believe it's hers now. :) Here she is sharing her sunglasses and winter hat with the dog.
We had to post the presents we picked out with our gift cards from Grandma Morse. I got a new sweater, Kate and Wesley combined bucks to get an Octonaut set (we watch it on the Disney Channel kids jr website) Kairi got an extra animal for the Octonauts and a Sully Sullivan car. Chris got a protective cover for his new Vita.
We made some snowmen this year on the one day this last week that the snow was slushy. Here is Kairi standing between them. We also went sledding a day or so before this, but I didn't bring the camera so didn't get a picture of it. Besides I was having too much fun sledding with the girls. We were lucky that Kairi only slid off once and was fine. Kate nearly got plowed over by a kid whose sled curved right next to her while she was walking backwards up the hill not paying attention. It was a close call! That kid was right up next to her shoes. If she hadn't just taken a step she would have been smacked.
Here the kids are running of more energy at Epic. Don't you love the Wesley Batman look?
And now is the time at the end of the post where I wonder where my missing pictures are and have to insert them out of order. :)
Wesley was a shepherd in the ward Christmas play this year. It was hard to get a close up, so I helped you out with my cool circle skills.
Yes, I can use Photoshop too!
Hope you enjoyed the post everybody!
