Wesley Dancing Edition

First, here's Wesley at a swimming pool since there were no pictures last time. He just can't get enough of water.

This is how to stop him from drinking his play time water. Not bath water, because baths are no fun, but water play time is. One time he started dunking his face in the water because he thought it was funny. His mommy didn't agree.

Wesley's pretty good at drums, even if he's still on beginner. If you look closely, he's hit 30% of the notes so far!

Next is a compilation of Wesley dancing. No head bobs this time around, unfortunately.
He was done playing drums once his all time favorite band came on. Just the first notes of a CCR song are enough to get him groovin'.

Check out those moves.

This week he learned the joys of spinning.

Too much spinning!

California Trip

It is time everybody for another blog post! Wesley and I visited the Morse grandparents in California a week or so ago just for the fun of it. However, getting started on our trip may have been the hardest part. Chris dropped us off at the airport at four on a Saturday. I had to wait Forever before I could check-in, and my worry never mattered anyway. My flight was delayed from 5:something to 5:30. Then it was 6..... and then 6:55. The worst part was that my connecting flight left at 6:55, so after deciding that there was no way I would make it I stood in yet another hour long line before getting my flight changed to the next day. Woopeee! I still never found out why my flight was delayed so long. At least I was not like that one girl who was complaining about sitting in the same seat for twelve hours after her flight had been canceled the day before... oh boy.

The next day we made it! As a general note Wesley did very well on all the airplanes there and back again. In total he rode in four different planes sitting on his mommy. Well sitting and standing and squirming, but he never disturbed the other passengers not even when we got put in the first class next to the sleeping business men.

In no particular order, here are some pictures from the trip.

Sorry about the blurry quality. I myself was not taking this picture....
The next few pictures are taken at the Discovery Museum in San Fransisco, at least I think that's where it was.

On this trip Wesley got a fascination with trains, trucks, moving large things. However, he standing in a tire is not cool. He was trying to climb out. Oh and this is before that pacifier disappeared.

His favorite part about the museum was this water way of balls. "Ball" is his newest favorite word. He enjoys whispering it unless we are near a basketball hoop. Then the word can get a little bit louder.

We went to Lake Elizabeth- lake and park-for a potluck held in favor of Aunt Amy's work. The food was good and so was the playground.

Wesley is dumping sand in the slide and looking up at Aunt Ann.

Here is Wesley in the first slide he went down all by himself. He did really well the first time and sat upright. The second time down he leaned backwards to see if anyone was behind him and twisted over a little.

Insert. Pretend here is a picture of Wesley pointing at the three cats in house. He loved getting really high pitched when he saw them as he pointed them out.

Here are some pictures from Great America, an amusement park. Wesley got him and me really really wet at a splash pad zone right before we went on the rides. However, we didn't get any pictures of that since my photographers had gone off on roller coaster rides.

Grandma and Wesley! Ride that snail!

Um, mommy was going to go with the little kid on the ride, but the operator kicked me off. While he didn't cry the whole time, his face still looked stricken. Maybe in a few years he won't mind riding alone.

He liked this ride which was an airplane. He got to a lot of trees and small people.

These are a few clips of a walk through Niles. A historic town that Charlie Chaplin lived at.

Wesley really likes trains, but perhaps he just likes the small ones you can play with. His favorite part of this spot was the rocks under the caboose.

Here he is showing off his muscles.

Yeah! He got something to move!

This last picture is at a park in Niles where we found some green apples on a tree and tested them out. Mine was a little green still, so I never finished it.

Thanks for the fun trip Morse family, and a special thanks for all the good food!
p.s Wesley currently has seven teeth growing. Four at top and another one by the two bottom teeth.

August Update

Wesley threw his pacifier into the trash the other day. Looks like his pacifier days are over.
