October-ness

Can you imagine that October is over? This month seemed to go by rather fast. Now all that is left are the memories which I will share with you in picture form with the few words I decided to write after I have gotten tired of waiting for the slow upload speeds. It is now November! The first day of November to be exact and that means that Thanksgiving is just around the corner. It also means that Christmas will be popping up and I'll need to rack my brain for present ideas for those hard to shop for people.

It also means that I have only two more months left to get my next three books (that's not going to happen) out of the editing stages and into a printed book format. I hope to get at least one of those ready before Christmas. Two of them I have been working on for over a year, but I just keep changing things trying to get it better- right. The third one I wrote up in about a months time, but the editing takes the longest and there are always still mistakes anyways. Oh well. If I ever sold anything perhaps I'd invest in a professional editor.

What has been taking up the other percent of my time the last two weeks is that I enrolled myself into an online career school. I am currently studying to become a  Medical Transcription Editor or MTE. Which might mean that my review of grammar and editing will help my books have less mistakes. Might. wink. I have a full year to complete the course, but it is suggested to finish with a few months left of that so that there is a buffer of room in case I need to retake the final exam.

My main goal with this is to be able to work from home part time while the kids are in school so I'm not so terribly bored when they are away. Next year all three of them will be at school full time. Right now the girls are only there for three hours on Tuesday through Friday. If I finish the course at my projected estimation I can be done by June. We'll see if it happens.

 Here is a ninja and Marty Jr aka Wesley and Chris. Since Doc and Marty went "back' to the future this year on October 21 2015, Chris also wore his outfit to work on that day. There is a picture for that down below.

 I dressed up as Jennifer Parker, who spent most of the second movie sleeping, but hey, she was still there. This picture shows my fourth attempt to get my hair poofy. Kate is being Namine' from Kingdom Hearts and Kairi is being little Kairi from the same video game.

 Kate is supposed to look like this, but I didn't find a white dress with no decoration and I wasn't feeling up to making one either. She was fine with what she picked out anyway.

 Oh yeah. This one is great. This was the last crop item we picked from our garden this year. As you can see we never can grow any sort of melon. We've tried pumpkins and now watermelon and we end up with things like this. It is a little bigger than a marshmallow!

 We also visited a children's museum in Rockford. We've been to this one once before. They added in a few new things like pinball wizard.

 In honor of Back to the Future day, Chris wore his outfit to work. That evening Epic was showing the second movie on their big screen, the one that is inside a building about the size as the LDS conference center. I was able to find a sitter for the kids so I could attend with Chris to see it.

 You have to do the duck races! The kids picked pumpkins at this place, but Chris and I didn't, because the selection was low. It was the last weekend to go to a patch anyway. I got my pumpkin on Halloween from a store. We had to go to three stores to find any pumpkins left. 

 Gemma Morse! I babysat her twice this week so Michelle could go to the dentist.

 Here the kids are trick-or-treating at Epic.

 For those of you into Minecraft, Kairi made Petra out of playdough. She is a character in the Minecraft Story Mode that we have been playing. Wesley gets really into it.

 Here are the finished pumpkins this year. Kate made a unicorn, I made a pumpkin carriage with people inside, Kairi colored on hers, there is a ghast from Minecraft, and Wesley made Steve, another Minecraft character.
