Mostly April

We went to the Madison Kids expo March 16th this year. Here are the kids coloring and getting doctor hats.

Wesley was amazing at the pick up beans game. He was way faster than the other kid next to him until I pulled out the camera and distracted him. (Kairi in brown, Kate, Wesley)

The kids even got to sit in a real race car!

And they played games. (Kairi and Wesley)

Here are some Lego's I got from my dad's collection this year.

We died Easter Eggs with Uncle Allen (Allen and Kairi)
Notice she has a pink cast on in this picture. She broke her leg March 26th by jumping off the couch right when I started to make dinner. The doctor saw her the next day but she wasn't crying or anything and we thought it was a sprain. Two days later, she still would not walk on it, so I took her to the ER to get an x-ray. Her pink cast come on Friday March 29th. Two days before Easter.

Aunt Michelle is helping Kate put stickers in her eggs.

Cheese! I love pink!

Kairi's next doctor appointment was on April 9th. She ended up needing to get her cast redone since the heel of her foot was slipping up into the back of the cast. She got purple this time! We have done a lot of coloring lately...

Here is a cool sitting spot close to Uncle Allen's office at Epic.
(Kate, mom, Kairi, Wesley)

His office is in a barn so you see a lot of cows and animals on the walls.(Kate and Wesley)

You can also find Charlottes Web. The web says "Some Pig." Kate is hugging the pig.

At Kairi's next doctors appointment, again a week later, she needed to get her cast redone again. You guessed it her foot was slipping again. I was told it's common in toddlers since their muscles aren't as developed to hold a cast in place. That and they are squirmy. She couldn't really make up her mind for the cast color so the nurse made it pink and purple. That was on April 16th.

April 25th was Chris and Amanda's five year wedding anniversary! To celebrate I took the kids to "Take your kids to work day." Later we went out to eat dinner after the kids had been put in bed.  Here is Wesley and dad fishing. Kate is hiding behind them.

They made some frog crafts.

And got to color. Kate was nice enough to help Wesley color all of his picture. And she loves these sunglasses she won while fishing. They go everywhere with her now. She even wears them in the house.

Here is a picture I took of the picture they took for us at Epic. I think it turned out well.

This week I had no idea what to do and Chris told me to take the kids bowling. I don't think he expected me to do it, but I did. We were the only ones there on a Tuesday morning and enjoyed bowling and a snack.

Kate and Wesley lining up the ball.

Kairi during her turn.

When it was not their turn, the kids could sit and color. We have a ton of pictures exactly like this one that Kairi took of Wesley coloring when it was not their turn.

As you can see we are pretty good bowlers! Actually I think it is a little sad that even with the one strike I got, I only won by six points. Oh well.

Here the kids say Happy Easter!

I wanted to get a movie of Kairi walking around on her cast before it came off. Yes it came off this past Friday May 3rd. She's in a boot for two weeks now and will be done with it all. However, if you notice Wesley took a spill at the end of the movie. Poor kid. He got a little scrapped up, but he's fine.

Look up what a funicular is because this is a lego version of one.

I get to be the first to post a comment. It was fun to see what you've been up to. Kairi was amazing with the cast on. She didn't let it slow her down once she was allowed to walk on it. Love the sunglasses on Kate. Are you teaching Wesley lots of new words with his Legos?

Looks like some fun outings!! So glad that Kairi has her cast off! Blake loves wearing sunglasses too - sometimes he even wears them to bed. :)

I'm quite impressed with those bowling scores! And I like the nurse that let her have two colors on her cast. If you've got to have one, or two, or three, you might as well make it cute!
