An Important Event

So as you can tell the most important event that has recently happened is that Wesley learned he can suck on his hands! Okay maybe not. The most important event is that Wesley received his baby blessing on Sunday the 5th of July. I would have put up pictures of his cute baby blessing outfit and the grandparents, but somehow while everyone was taking pictures, my camera was not one of the ones out there. If anyone would like to send me the baby blessing pictures they took we would be very happy!

He was blessed with health, happiness, to learn his mission in this life, to be a shining star and example, and to be successful in scholarly endeavors. Thanks to all those who came and/or participated!!!! We had a really nice luncheon afterward, so thanks for those who provided food for that!
Oh no! I forgot to rotate this! Um..... guilty smiley face :) That's alright, you can get the full effect still the same. These are the outfits Chris and Wesley wore on the 4th. The little baby pants I think are way cute, but Wesley still needs to grow a little bit for them. Chris picked him up once and they just fell off! How embarassing!

Okay so I chose the best pictures of the 4th of July parade. We had a free breakfast that was located close to the hospital (thanks to my aunt for the tickets) and then we watched the parade from 100 E. We stayed for an hour before Wesley wanted to quit. Directly below is the best seat to watch the parade, and I didn't see any of them take pictures!

We had a much better view with a few heads in the way.

After the parade, and some relaxing, we attended a Morse family reunion where we had more free food. We got lost driving there because we had to come up a street that had Orem addresses on the right and Lindon addresses on the left, and we were looking at the wrong side of the street for the address. Driving in Utah can be an adventure sometimes.

After eating the family played volleyball. It was mostly adults versus kids, and I think the adults won by two points. Since it was hot, I just took pictures and drumroll...... watched babies! Here is Chris jumping right before he did this amazing double roll thing on the ground. It looked way awesome, but his leg was a sore afterward.
As many of you can tell, this isn't a picture of Wesley. Nope this is a picture of Amanda's cousins' children. The girl, is about ten months old and the boy about a year. Everytime their parents would put them down, I would get slightly nervous that they would fall over, since that's what Wesley would do, until I realized that they could sit up on their own, and then I would just think "oh yeah, they're older." It was fun to see them since the last time I saw either of them was at their own baby blessings. I was very surprised at how much bigger they both had become. Wow do babies grow big fast or what?
They crawled around on a blanket in the shade and played with phones and flags.

This is what Welsey did for the whole three hours of being at the reunion. He never even knew he was in a place he'd never been in before. He was all tuckered out from his morning routine getting thrown off with the breakfast and the parade. Let me tell you that he was very confused about whether he should be awake or asleep that night and stayed up for three hours in the middle of the night. I was up for two of them, and Chris was nice enough to stay up the last hour with him even though he had to go to work in the morning. Lucky for us, Wesley is now back to a regular schedule. He started smiling a lot more this week, so we'll have to try to get him to smile for the camera. It's way cute and funny to see his toothless baby smile!
In conclusion, really you can send me or Chris pictures of his baby blessing day anytime you want to.... How about right now? Since you're reading the blog you must have a spare moment or two..........

He's been sleeping through the night for the past week and a half I think, (except for last night) but I've been getting six to seven hours of sleep at night now. so nice :)
