Ballet Recital and Other Stuff from the last eight months.

My last post was in October about Summer time so I'm over due again. :) Here it goes everyone!

Here was Halloween. Kate is Evie and Kairi is Mal from Descendants. Wesley is being Lloyd from Ninjago.
We went to a pumpkin patch. (Kate, Wesley, Kairi, Chris)
Kairi and Kate. They are both now learning to ride without training wheels but in this shot they are working on their bike tricks.
Our new cousin Baby Lewis was born. He is being held by his older sister Gemma.
My face paint was not as good as it was in Japan when I had a professional do it but I dressed up for Halloween too.
Wesley went to the "My Little Pony Movie" with his friend Pauley before she moved to Canada.
I made the Chinese Zodiac characters out of wood for my mom.
 Ice skating. Here is Kate.
Ice skating with Kairi pushing Wesley.
This is the event that caused Chris to trip over Kairi and tear his shoulder (rotator cuff I believe.) He's still working on therapy stretches for it (maybe). But the kids had fun.
I hope you enjoyed the music. I made it myself. :)
We took some family photos for our Christmas card and didn't use them all. Here are a few.
 Watch out for the tornado!
 I'm feeling really scared...
 Three kids in a tunnel
Baby Lewis maybe about 2 months old.
 Wesley around Christmas
 Amanda and Kate
 Amanda and Kairi
Me and my girls best friends forever! (Cue the LEGO Friends song in the background.)

Wesley and I took an archery class together. He loved it and so did I. It was unfortunate that it only lasted Jan-March so it is now over. But we did make lots of bullseyes, and hit moving targets, ping pong balls, fake deer, and balloons.

Uncle Dan and Grandma Morse came out to visit. Alas, my pictures of their entire trip include this one because I guess I was not very good at taking pictures of the people around me. oopps.
I managed to find this one too.

Kate and Kairi had a birthday and turned 7!
Here Wesley, Kairi, and Kate are posing with their Christmas Super Hero outfits. Grandma Heit has made one a year so now we have a full set!
Kairi and Kate's birthday party was dog themed even if they never did like the dog that we had for about 23 days before we gave it back to the shelter. The kids kept hiding away from it all the time and crawling over the table to avoid it. They will still tell you that they miss Jewel and they liked the dog. I don't believe them but I let them pretend.

Here is Jewel. She was/is a smooth fox terrier.

The girls did get brave enough to walk her near the end but one walk wasn't worth the hassle of their fear in the house and Chris discovered he was allergic to her as well.

I did eventually get an arrow in the middle of this target as it was pulled across the ground, but in this picture my arrow is the one on the leg at the bottom.
I got a steel drum. I have had two music lessons with a private tutor here. I had a person from Ohio come tune the drum for me when he was out here tuning the instruments for Panchromatic Steel Band-the band of dudes here near the college- and he lead me to find the other people who can actually play this instrument. I'm still working on it. (I by the way means Amanda in case you ever had any doubt.)

We died Easter eggs in April
And ate Easter treats of Rice Krispie eggs in a nest.
Wesley did a report about Abraham Lincoln and dressed for the part.
I got tired of the red walls in the kitchen and impulsively repainted them in a day.
I had to pick Wesley's favorite color green and create a new picture for the wall.
Here is my new wall picture which is similar to one I saw on the internet and didn't want to pay for.
Kate is dressed as a pioneer.
She made the front covered wagon.
Kairi and her best friend Brynn also as pioneers.
We took a hike this weekend at Devils Lake. We did not swim in the lake this time around. (Chris, Kairi, Wesley, Kate)
 Amanda and Kairi
It looks like a cave but it's more of a crevice.
 Here is the lake
We started to lose a few kids...
 It got pretty scary. ;)
 Devils lake- all angels beware!
Wizards Quest has update their stuff. We checked that out this weekend too and we got to use tablets through the rooms to complete our quests. We finished all 4? and freed the Earth wizard.

This is the reason why I am updating the blog. I had a request to show off Kairi and Kate's ballet recital.
Kate and Kairi are on the left.
Here are Kate and Kairi with the flowers they got for doing a fantastic job.
Kate, Gemma, Kairi. And if you look up you can see Wesley, Amanda, Allen, half of Lewis, and Michelle too.
 We had some visitors come.
Kairi and Kate with their teacher Katina
Out of place but did you know that the twins were in first grade this year and Wesley in third? They have exactly 13 more days of being that grade level.
I had to throw this in here to see if you were paying attention.
This is a movie of the girls warm-up.
This movie is their actual performance to "I See the Light." The song may sound familiar to some of you.
The kids from several classes got together to put on a play of Snow White. Here you can see Snow White picking flowers, the dwarves marching in (that's K&K's class) and the evil queen coming to scare them away.
Chris commented that our kids won the award for "most times waving at their parents."
The end of the show was exceptionally tiring for Kairi.

And that's a wrap! See ya'll again in like another 6 months or when the next event in our lives is requested.
